Whether it's a move, a loss, a new baby, a divorce, or a burnout season, some transitions turn our homes (and hearts) upside down. These are the moments when our systems crack… and our “stuff” seems to keep multiplying.

Minimalism here is about doing less, with care.

During transitions, try this shift:

  • Focus on function, not perfection

  • Build temporary containers for chaos (yes, even laundry mountains)

  • Pause non-essential routines—your energy is finite

  • Define your “survival systems” (meals, rest zones, calm corners)

Instead of asking “How do I declutter all this?”
Ask: “What actually needs my care right now?”

This is the season to:

  • Release guilt for the mess

  • Let tools and rhythms serve you, not shame you

  • Embrace flexibility, grace, and the belief that this, too, is a sacred phase

Even in disruption, your home can hold you.
Not because it’s flawless. But because it makes space for what matters—your peace, your people, your healing.
