Why Slowing Down Might Be the Most Radical Thing a Mother Can Do
Stop. Breathe. Release.

I used to think that healing would look like more.
More effort. More energy. More reading, meditating, decluttering, apologizing.
More trying to be the version of me who could finally “get it right.”
But healing, as it turns out, is often the opposite.
It’s a softening.
A slowing.
A quiet rebellion against everything we were taught to carry, prove, and endure.
Especially in motherhood — where the world seems to whisper constantly: “Keep going. Be everything. Don’t fall behind.” And yet…
Somewhere inside me, something else whispered back:
“Stop. Breathe. What if it ends with you?”
That whisper is where my healing began.
Not in perfection. Not in productivity.
But in presence.
And that whisper has become a slow, unfolding path I now walk daily.
I don’t always get it right. But I’ve stopped trying to “win” at being a mother and started choosing to simply be one — fully, messily, with breath and softness.
If you’ve felt the call to pause…
To question…
To exhale in the middle of the chaos…
You’re not alone. And you’re not behind.
You’re becoming.
And if you’d like a hand to hold along the way, I’ve created something just for this moment — a guide and a workbook to support your quiet revolution.
